Adventures, Not Products
At Youkipedia we don’t refer to our ideas as “businesses, services or products.” Instead, we refer to them as Adventures.
Don’t get us wrong we love business. But back in the day, when people risked life and limb to cross the Atlantic in order to start ventures their financial backers were called Adventure Capitalists.
This describes the entrepreneurial spirit much better than spreadsheets or business plans ever could. Adventures require blood and sweat and tears. Dedication and long hours. Adventures require all-in commitments.
We like that. We like that A LOT. Business should not be some mundane, boring task that takes place between the hours of 9 and 5. Sadly that is what it has become for many people today.
Our vision is to change that.
Business is, and should be, an adventure. Sure it is full of surprises, uncertainty and risk - we all know that. But what is more important is that it is filled with the thrilling adventure of knowing we are doing what we love and making people happy with the end results of our efforts.
We seriously doubt that Lewis and Clark or any of the early pioneers had safe exit strategies. It was reach their goal or die along the way.
We believe that the business world needs a serious injection of some of this gun-slinging, risk taking, succeed or die trying life commitment.
